The HMR “Healing Intensive” is a 3-day process originally developed in the clinical inpatient setting to assist in the resolution of trauma and memory-based pain (physical and emotional). As an online Zoom workshop, this is an experiential healing process that is open to all individuals and “trainees” in HMR. As a confidential, online group therapy process, it seeks to provide a safe and unique context to experience HMR as it is applied to diverse and varied forms of trauma. In this interactive workshop, participants will personally experience the HMR process that encourages visualization and discovery of memories that have been affected by trauma without having to ‘relive’ the actual traumatic event. This enables a return to living life more fully empowered in the present moment, freed from the constraints of fear, shame, and disempowerment. Participants will gain many resources and exercises for healing trauma, including emotional reframing of trauma, reparenting, body-mapping, creating sacred space, boundary repair, grounding and anchoring in the bodymind. HMR teaches “mindfulness” with respect to the body as memory! Note: Individuals on benzodiazepines (Xanax, Clonopin, Valium, or Ativan) are not encouraged to sign up for this workshop since this group of drugs acts as memory-repressants and inhibits the effective application of HMR! |
